World of Warcraft Forever

WoW Forever Is Coming, and We Are Going In Together

Grab your reading glasses and a comfy chair, because a brand new chapter of World of Warcraft is on its way.

WoW Forever takes us back to the very first year of Azeroth, with the cosy 2004 feel and a level cap of 60. Unlike Classic, it is not a replay of the original. It adds new zones, quests, dungeons, races, abilities and race and class combinations, so even the veterans among us will be exploring unfamiliar ground. Brilliant news for anyone who still knows every Barrens chat joke by heart.

When do we start?
Thursday 5 November at around 9 am. The game goes live at midnight in Europe, which is well past the bedtime of most of us on a weekday. We held a vote with our knees and backs, and a civilised morning start won by a landslide.

Do I need early access, and which server?
Not at all. There is no point paying for early access, as we might have to move servers once we get going. A one month subscription or game time is all you need to play Forever, whether you already own World of Warcraft or are brand new to Azeroth. The new Skyborne race and its starting zone are an optional extra, so you can happily skip them and still join in. We will pick a server together and announce it on our Matrix server on launch day, so there is no point choosing one in advance.

Who can join?
Everyone is welcome, whether you are a long time Azeroth wanderer or setting foot in the Eastern Kingdoms for the first time. Bring a friend, bring a snack, and bring your best “back in the day” stories.

See you in Azeroth!
